The
partial eclipse came late in the afternoon on a clear spring day. From LA, the
sun was about 75% eclipsed by the sun. I was surprised that the light was noticeably
altered.
I
was even more surprised at the display the bamboo put on, with the pinhole projection
effect. Poke a small hole in a sheet of cardboard, let the partially eclipsed
sun shine through, and you can see images of the eclipsed sun on a surface.
Sometimes foliage will create the same effect, as in this case.
