Hi there!

In March I visited Romania and London, and in both places people asked about the garden police! I realized it is time for an update.

First of all, the garden police haven't been back in two years, since Feb. 2000. How the neighbors feel about it, I don't know. My relations with my neighbors are pretty much as they've always been: I avoid the woman next door and never talk to her; with others I have a polite but distant relationship. That's fine.

Check out the view from the front (last month) and compare it to the same view two years ago: You'll notice that I lost the big tree in corner, and also the yucca in the other street-side corner. The tree was tearing up the sidewalk, and I was afraid the yucca would do the same. I miss them. But I've added a bamboo arch.
